FAQ

Is the ski pass included with cross-country skiing and biathlon lessons?
  • No. The trail pass is not included in the lesson fee and is required to access the cross-country ski trails. Please make sure you have a valid trail pass before your lesson begins. It can be purchased directly from the Beille Nordic Area.
What is the difference between classic and skating?
There are two cross-country skiing techniques:
  • Classic technique:
This style is practised on prepared parallel tracks. The movement is similar to walking, with alternating strides that propel you forwards. Natural and easy to learn, it is the ideal technique for children and beginners.
  • Skating:
This technique is practised on groomed snow without set tracks. The skis are angled in a "V" shape, and the movement is similar to ice skating. More dynamic and physically demanding than the classic technique, it requires greater balance, coordination and control. It is best suited to experienced skiers or those with a good level of fitness.
