IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Advice for parents

Please note the following information:
  • esf does not provide insurance cover for participants. We recommend checking that you have suitable insurance before your holiday or taking out ski insurance if required.
  • Ski passes are not included in the lesson fee and are required wherever ski lifts are used. Please ensure you have the appropriate ski pass before your lessons begin.
  • Please arrive around 10 minutes before the start of your lesson.
  • Please have your lesson card available on the MyESF app at the start of each lesson.
  • Equipment is not provided. Please ensure your skis or snowboard are suitable for the participant's height, weight and ability.
  • Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.
  • Back protection is strongly recommended for snowpark sessions.

For your child's comfort:
  • Please register your child using their correct age. If you're unsure of their skiing ability, please use our “Find your level” page.
  • Please ensure your child carries their ski pass, some form of identification and your contact details.
  • Dress your child in warm, waterproof clothing suitable for the weather, including gloves or mittens, goggles or sunglasses, sun cream and tissues.
  • Please ensure your child has suitable ski boots, skis and a helmet. Ski poles are only required from 2ème Étoile level onwards.
  • Group changes are decided by the instructor to ensure every child is in the most appropriate group.
  • To help your child get the most from their lesson, please avoid following them or calling out to them during the session, as this may distract them.
Ski lifts

Get a ski pass

Please note: Ski passes are not included in the lesson fee and are required wherever ski lifts are used. Please ensure you have the appropriate ski pass before your lessons begin.

3- and 4-year-olds

  • Children under the age of 5 can obtain a free ski pass on presentation of proof of age.
  • Club Piou Piou: No ski pass is required within the Piou Piou Club beginners' area. If your child needs to access the beginners' area via the ski lifts, please obtain the free ski pass available for children under 5.
  • Garolou: A Beginner Ski Pass is required (free for children under 5).

Children aged 5 to 12

  • Ourson: A Beginner Ski Pass is required on the first day. After that, your instructor will advise whether it is still needed.
  • Flocon to Competition: An All-Mountain Ski Pass is required.
A discounted 5- or 6-day School Ski Pass is available for Garolou, Ourson, Flocon and beginner snowboard lessons (Piou Piou Club, Ourson and Flocon), offering 30% off the All-Mountain Ski Pass.

Simply present your weekly lesson card at the ski lift ticket office to benefit from the discount.
Our private lessons

Teenagers (aged 13 and over) & Adults:

  • Beginner: A Beginner Ski Pass is required on the first day. After that, your instructor will advise if a different ski pass is needed.
  • Class 1 to Class 4: An All-Mountain Ski Pass is required.

Cancellation insurance

Make sure you have suitable insurance in place so you can enjoy your holiday with confidence.

When booking your lessons online with esf Ax 3 Domaines, you can choose from the following optional insurance cover:
  • Cancellation or booking changes
  • Trip interruption
We also recommend checking the cover provided by your travel insurance, home insurance or payment card to ensure you're protected for winter sports activities.
How to book your lessons?

Paying with ANCV Chèque-Vacances Connect

Our ski school only accepts ANCV payments via the Chèque-Vacances Connect app.
  • Payment can be made online or in person
  • From €20, to the nearest cent
  • The app must be active at the time of payment
Please note that Chèque-Vacances Connect cannot currently be used to pay for bookings made directly through our website. If you would like to pay for your lessons using ANCV Chèque-Vacances Connect, please contact us using our contact form.

What if I have paper Chèques-Vacances?
You can convert your paper Chèques-Vacances into Chèque-Vacances Connect (please allow around three weeks for the conversion).
If you prefer not to convert them, many businesses in the Ax valleys still accept paper Chèques-Vacances.

Is the ski pass included in the lesson fee?

Is insurance included with my lessons?
No. esf does not provide insurance cover for participants.
  • Ski lessons do not include insurance covering rescue costs on the slopes. We recommend taking out ski insurance when purchasing your ski pass.
  • You should also check the cover provided by your travel insurance, home insurance or payment card to ensure you are protected for winter sports activities.
